Zeus Street Greek, Drummoyne

Zeus Street Greek Food is a great place for lunch. The Zeus Street Greek is licensed so you can have a cheeky beer or cider. The very popular local eatery are known for their Gyros (Greek Wraps) and omg delicious dessert.

The Gyros (above) is the Papou Niko Pork gyro. It has char-grilled pork from the Souvla with Aegean Slaw, caramelised onion, preserved lemon mayo and parsley. The bread is amazingly tasty, soft but textured. The combination of the pork and all the other ingredients just work. It is delicious and a massive favourite for some of my local friends. It will set you back $9.5.

I had the signature gyro, the Zeus Lamb (right). It's described as their signature slow cooked lamb with Aegean slaw, smoked eggplant, onion and parsley. This one will set you back $11.5. Another tasty Gyro! I've been told to stick to the Pork Papou Niko moving forward though. Below, are some alcohol options which will set you back $10 or so. Refreshing and sneaky lemonades on the weekend.

Make it a complete meal by adding the Feta and Oregano chips at $7.5.  A nice staple side !! You may want to choose a side salad as well to make yourself feel less guilty. I tried the Village salad at $13.50 which had Tomato, cucumber, onion, oregano, olives, feta and lemon dressing. Not a must try but another dimension of texture for your meal.

For dessert, I quite enjoyed both the plan Loukoumades ($8.00) and the chocolate Loukoumades at $9.50.  What is a Loukoumades you ask? They are typically known as Greek Donuts with honey, cinnamon and walnuts. The chocolate version has chocolate drizzled over the original recipe.
Check it out guys!!!
Prices: Gyros are $10ish, order some sides and it's probably $25ish per person

Location: 187 Lyons Rd, Drummoyne
