Grill'd, Chatswood

BURGER BURGER BURGER GET IN MAH BELLY. I check out Grill'd in Chatswood which is filled with customers at lunch time on the weekend.

While there are a number of new "burger" joints in Sydney that have vastly improved the quality of burgers and have won the hearts of many burger lovers - Grill'd still has a place in the burger landscape. For me, it's somewhere between your monster/gourmet burgers and your big macs. It's probably got a very good spot next to burger project.

I have had a number of burgers at Grill'd in Parramatta, Macquarie Park and the city.

I have to say, each chain is really consistently good. The burgers are delicious. The staff are always really friendly and helpful.

I really like that each chain donates money to charity and allows customers to vote for the charity they think Grill'd should contribute to.

Grill'd is a burger chain which has 16 chains across Sydney. Grill'd has also opened up in Chatswood which is at the foot of the new concourse which has many new restaurants. I am hankering for a burger so I stop by.

The Chatswood restaurant of Grill'd is quite spacious and I find a table towards the back with some nice decore.  My partner orders at the counter and accidently purchases alcoholic ginger beer instead of the non-alcoholic kind. It's still delicious and incredily refreshing. We're tempted by the chips share plate but opt to order a small sweet potato chips instead.

I order the Almighty burger ($13.50) which is a lean beef patty, tasty cheese, crispy trim bacon, egg, beetroot with the usual trimmings. It's your typically aussie burger. The beef patty is well seasoned and among with all the other ingredients is very satisfying.  The sweet potato chips (below, $4.8) are also well seasoned with salt. I quite like the regular chips as well.

I also order the Hot Bird Burger ($12.50) which is a chicken burger with jalapenos, roasted capsicium,  sour cream, cheese with onion and the trimmings. The burger is mildly spicy so don't be too worried if you can't take the heat. Again quite satisfying.

Overall, another consistent and enjoyable experience. If you have the entertainment book, be sure to use the Grill'd voucher for a buy one, get one free burger. I can't get enough of Grill'd when i'm looking for a decent burger.
