Creperie Suzette, The Rocks

Creperie Suzette is a french creperie located in the Rocks in Sydney CBD. Some of the staff are french if you know any! It's a little cafe which is perfect for lunch or dessert.
I head to Creperie Suzette on an empty stomach so I was looking forward to something a bit savory as well as something a bit sweet. Luckily their menu caters for both palettes.

I start off with a hot drink though. Their hot chocolate and chai lattes were amazing. This french creperie knows how to create enough chocolate flavours in their hot chocolate.

The stick of cinnamon adds a bit of art to the chai latte. It was tasty and lovely to drink.

From their Galette menu, there are savoury square crepes. I am immediately tempted by the La Poule Aux Espinards ($13, below) which is a savoury crepe of shreaded chicken, spinach, dijon mustard sauce. The crepe is thin, soft and slightly crispy on the edges. The combination of chicken, spinach and dijon sauce is very nice.

It's much more filling than expected.

The Pekinoise (above, $15) is a duck with hoisin sauce, cheese and onion galette (savoury crepe). It's a much richer galette than the chicken as the hoisin sauce dominates in flavour. Duck and hoisin make for a great flavour combination so it's very nice to eat. It's a bit too rich for me after a while but I am lucky to have a generous portion of spinach to munch on from the chicken galette.

Like the chicken galette, it's much more filling than expected but there's always room for dessert!

The highlight of the meal was the La Caramel Au Beurre Sale (top photo and above $14). This crepe had just the right amount of salted caramel folded in between the crepe with almonds and ice cream. The flavours were just dancing on my tongue. The caramel was so delicious.

I am an absolute sucker for salted caramel. O M G, this is a definite recommend.

For those who aren't fans of caramel, I also tried the Le Fraise ($15, below, above) which has the classic combinations of chocolate sauce, strawberries, cream and ice cream with walnuts. The crepe is thin and there's sliced strawberries all throughout the crepe. It's so yummy.

Overall, I had a really nice lunch at Creperie Suzette. I absolutely enjoyed the savoury crepes and that caramel dessert was AMAZING.

It would have been good if they had table service rather than ordering at the counter but otherwise I'd highly recommend stopping by for a nice french creperie experience.
